If i thought it would be easy to finish teaching , fix and rent my house and head over to Asia for a year then i was wrong.
I had hoped to leave Welli by the end of Feb 2007 but i will be leaving now in March which reflects i guess the many things that happened between my decision to leave NZ in early 06 and now.
For those of you who don't know what my aim is for this year the following will hopefully explain what i want to achieve.
- Get out of my comfort zone (Welli is my home and i love it but i will love it even more when i have more to compare it to i think)
- See some of the world that i havent seen before.
- Experience some new cultures and learn something more about myself.
- Make my way to France for Sept ( I hear Paris is very nice at this time of year, hehe)
So there are a couple of aims but like any experience, what i hope for and what occurs may well differ greatly!
Over the next year i will try and update this blog and respond to any questions that people ask.
Because I'm a teacher (lets not pretend i really will be anything else) if anyone wants to know something specific about the places i visit i will hopefully be able to answer/visit/ask the locals and get back to you on whatever random thing you ask.
Now beat that wikipedia!
